It is an international club founded in 1917 on June 7th in Chicago, Illinois. Lions club international was founded by lion Melvin Jones with its mission being expressed in the motto of the club, we serve. The slogan of the entity is:19 Lions Liberty Intelligence Our Nation Safety consisting of 53 lions and 5 lioness clubs and an approximate of 1.4 million members and branches in most countries.
The official colors of our club which are gold and purple have different meanings that they represent. Purple is usually used to symbolize loyalty and also integrity while gold represents sincerity, liberality, purity and generosity. Individual who are both of legal majority and also have good records in the community can be invited to become members. Interested individuals can also contact their club.
Club Excellence process is a workshop related to that club that aims at improving the functioning of that club. All the clubs that participate in the workshop are guided by facilitator for the four hours of each four step. The members of our club in attendance through the guidance of that facilitator are needed to complete the assignments of our workshop with him being responsible to decide on the time which the club members should take to hold the workshop. The assignment is based on reasons that lead to a good club and how to decide the needs of a company and finally the steps to be taken by the company to improve it.
A number of laws and constitution are set to govern the company. They govern the name and territorial limits of that club, the objects of multiple district, the officers of our club, the multiple district council of governors the conventions and the finances of the company. The focus of laws and the constitution is to treat all the members equally and for proper functioning of it.
Development of this faculty can be development through the following ways: creating more branches, forming committees for the members, planning the sessions, developing and retaining members of this club. Meetings that contribute to effectiveness of that club should be frequently held so as to contribute to development and involving the organization to focus on the growth of this club.
Sight programs, hearing programs, diabetes programs and youth programs are the main focus of lions. The Northwest eyeglass recycling center has been introduced to manage the sight program of organization and managed to be the top center in eye-care and transplants of corneal all across the world. Three of programs are directed to deal with older adults while still planning on starting other programs for children of school age in order to make vision one of health priorities.
There are two major programs that are focus on hearing restoration are the hearing aid program which provides hearing aid for those with no ability to afford the costs and the All American Hearing Program which is the specific to providers in Western Washington participating in the program. The firm also supports other service groups that seek to help the community financially and provide additional hearing care.
Diabetes patients and the youth also have programs that deal with their welfare and support them in their different areas of consideration. Equipment for the patients with diabetes are provided through in the program. Youths are also mentored and encouraged in the workshops held by the program.
