Faux is a French word originally and it means fake, false, or a simulation. Fake products are being made by some manufacturers to just purely imitate or simulate items. They would prefer on using fake than the real ones because it can be easily manufactured and controlled based on its color and volume.

Fake furs are usually made out from different variations of materials. The typical materials that are being used are polymeric fibers. These fibers are being processed and dyed to be able to acquire the desired texture and color. Different types of polymers are also being used, and these are acrylic, modacrylic, and some other polymers.
